US PSP v UK PSP

New at this and am getting a PSP soon.  Have a friend who is going to states and can get me one there as they're cheaper.

Is there any difference with them to the UK one, will I still be able to buy games and UMD here for it please?

The only difference is that it won't be able to play UK UMD movies. Games will be fine unless they get any regional protection in the future.
