1.Can Jap psp's play european games (if they ever get released)? 2.The same again about u.s.a psp's 3.Is it regional coding for dvd's and games for Jap and u.s.a psp's

1) Yes - And they will... Just a matter if time. 2) Again, yes. 3) Not quite following you - DVD (UMD's actually) movies will be coded to the specific region you bought the PSP in, so Jap will be R2 (So should play UK UMD movies) and America will be R1, so US UMD's only!
